Rocío García

Studio Coordinator 

In her position on the Board of Directors, Rocío García serves as the point of contact in the dance studio for members’ families. She is responsible for keeping attendance records, communicating with families about events and COVID-19 studio guidelines, supporting dance instructors, and coordinating the use of the studio.

Rocío García considers Nuestras Raíces her second family. She is grateful for the chance that the organization has given her daughters to get in touch with their culture and traditions. The group has also served to motivate and support her daughters’ academic journeys. She has participated in the group as a parent for the last 8 years and on the Board of directors for the last 5 years. She is a nail artist and small order shoe salesperson. She hopes that her 4 children earn higher education degrees. She aims to create a space in the organization that is safe and comfortable for parents and their children.
