Aurora Lucero

In her position on the Board of Directors, Aurora Lucero is responsible for ensuring that parents comply with monthly payments so that we can keep our studio open to our community. She is responsible for making the monthly deposits in the group and maintaining the membership database. Records are then turned in to the Executive Director and Treasurer for audit and compliance with state requirements.

Aurora Lucero is one of the founding members of Nuestras Raíces. She started dancing with the organization in 1997 when she was 14 years old. In 2002, she was part of the first Board of Directors. In 2006, Aurora graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Spanish. Since then, Aurora has worked for UCLA Housing & Hospitality, most recently as a Financial Analyst in the Budget & Financial Planning Office. She has continued dancing and joined our Compañía Nuestras Raíces as of 2019. Aurora believes in the transformative power of art and music and strives to promote the mission and vision of the organization. She hopes to pass down the tradition of dance to her son.
